Been waiting for an excuse to get reacquainted with The Witcher III: Wild Hunt‘s fantastical world? Well, the arrival of the game’s new game plus mode has never given you a better one.

The DLC is the final slice of sixteen free pieces of additional content promised by CD Projekt Red, however, the new mode is currently only available for Xbox One – other platforms are sure to follow imminently.

So what exactly comes with the new game plus mode? Well, the Xbox Store listing has this to say.

Hungry for more action? Start a new game with all the skills and items from your previous playthrough, get better loot, slay even more ferocious beasts and relive the epic fantasy adventure that is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!

For those of you concerned about what you get to keep and what you lose in the transition from the standard story mode to the new, optional one, CD Projekt Red have already released a statement explaining the gains and losses.

Player experience (if you’re below level 30 when finishing the vanilla game, you will be bumped to level 30 for the start of NG+), items (excluding: quest items, books & letters, Gwent cards, usable items, trophies), money and alchemy recipes.

Now that the free DLC period has ended, we can only assume that work on the already-announced expansions will go into full throttle. Details are still slim, but CD Projekt Red have already said that you can expect them to be suitably epic in scale.
