Following the path prior established by their hit Walking Dead title, Telltale’s latest episodic adventure game, The Wolf Among Us, which has already had its first episode released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, will soon be making the leap to handhelds – namely the PS Vita and iOS devices.

The five-part series, based on Bill Willingham’s hit comic book series Fables, tells the modern-day story of several iconic fairy tail and folklore characters struggling to survive in the seedier parts of New York City. Players take control of Bigby Wolf, whose true identity is the Big Bad Wolf who previously terrorized Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs, and now serves as sheriff among the Fables.

The first episode, Faith, launched earlier in the month on home consoles and computers to critical acclaim. Our own review called the game “both engrossing and atmospheric,” and a promising start to what will hopefully become a great series.

It’s nice to see that Telltale is helping the game reach as wide an audience as possible with these mobile releases, though it should be noted that there is currently no specific release date for the first episode on either platform, other than a fall launch window. Considering that we’re nearing the end of October, though, that likely means that gamers on the go won’t have to wait much longer.

We will keep you updated on The Wolf Among Us as more news drops. In the meantime, let us know if you plan on purchasing the upcoming port in the comments section. Also, check out the new trailer announcing the upcoming ports below.
