Your First Look At XCOM: Enemy Unknown’s Slingshot Pack

I was just having a talk with someone this morning at the WeGotThisCovered.com bunker about XCOM: Enemy Unknown and how we wished there was more content for it. It seems Firaxis was listening in (which is only slightly creepy) since they announced today that we can expect a pair of addons for the game. The first, entitled Slingshot Content Pack, is centered around three new maps tied to the game’s Council missions that pop up from time to time. You’ll also be gifted some more customization options for your soldiers and a new playable squad member. The new squad member is an ex Triad named Zhang who’s come into possession of some interesting technology that he wants to share with the XCOM project.

Outside of that, we really don’t have that many details on what to expect. We’ve got a few screenshots to show you, but we’ll have specifics on a release date and pricing in the near future.

For those of you late to the XCOM party, the Elite Soldier Pack which was included as a preorder bonus has finally gone on sale for $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Moonbucks respectively. Pick it up and grab a classic X-COM soldier, some deco packs and complete squad color customization.
