Nintendo has finally told us how they plan on fixing that nasty glitch in Zelda: Skyward Sword that’s halted a handful of gamers in their tracks. It may seem a bit unorthodox, but any fix is better than no fix.

Soon, Nintendo will release a new Wii Channel entitled the Zelda Data Restoration Channel. The purpose of the channel will be to fix existing saves who have been affected by a game-breaking glitch. The channel will be available on the Wii Shop channel at some point.

No word on exactly when the channel will be released was mentioned. Nintendo is currently also accepting SD cards with the broken saves via regular mail.

What say you, gamers? Does anyone think it odd that an entire channel be released for one patch?
