9 Characters Who Must Appear In An All-Female Marvel Movie

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been seriously impressive in bringing in a whole host of comic book superheroes to the screen over the past decade - the only problem is the overwhelming majority of those have been men. While Natasha Romanoff was a founding member of the Avengers, for instance, there won't be a woman-led solo film until 2019's Captain Marvel.

Yes, we know. We’ve been told multiple times that a crossover between the movie and TV divisions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is off the cards. But a major reason why is because it’s just too difficult to match up the schedules of the two different productions, meaning actors aren’t free to hop between them. In a few years, by the time our proposed all-female movie gets off the ground, though, things might be a bit easier.

Let’s just come out and say it: it’s not looking likely that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has too many seasons left in its pocket. Things looked bad when ABC waited a long time before announcing season 5, so we highly doubt it will last into the period of Phase Four. By that time, then, we’ll want to check in on those characters to see where they’ve got to.

An A-Force film could go someway to doing that. The likes of Melinda May, Daisy Johnson, Jemma Simmons and Bobbi Morse have made big impressions on fans of the show and they deserve to hop over to the big screen and stand shoulder to shoulder with their cinematic sisters. Morse AKA Mockingbird is even a prominent A-Force member in the comics.
