Spider-Man Is “All Alone”
Yes, the big question fans have going into Far From Home is whether it’s set prior to the cataclysmic events of Infinity War or before it. The most obvious answer is that it’s set before, as Fury, Hill and Parker himself are all alive and not little piles of ash. However, it’s also possible that it’s set post-Avengers: Endgame, revealing that these heroes are somehow resurrected.
For the biggest clue that FFH potentially is set after Endgame, pay attention to Happy’s speech to Peter in the international trailer. “You’re all alone,” Hogan tells him. “Your friends are in trouble. What are you gonna do about it?”
The first sentence raises the question of why Peter’s all alone. With giant creatures (more on them in a moment) threatening Europe, surely this is a problem for the Avengers? Specifically, you’d think Iron Man would drop by as Happy could easily give him a call. But what if, by this point in the timeline, Iron Man isn’t around anymore?
