Hopping on the bandwagon of middle aged actors finding career resurgences in the action genre is Kevin Costner, who is bringing his newest film, 3 Days To Kill, to theatres this Friday. The McG-directed actioner stars the 59 year-old actor as dying Secret Service agent Ethan Renner. Desperate to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld), he accepts one last job in exchange for an experimental drug that could very well save his life.
Relativity Media held a press day for 3 Days To Kill last week and we were lucky enough to attend. While there, we sat down for an exclusive video interview with Costner, Amber Heard (who co-stars as the women that offers Renner the drug) and McG.
Among other things, they discussed how Paris was used as a character, what a sequel might revolve around, which codename Kevin Costner would choose if he was a spy, and much more. It’s a bit of a long one, but if you’re interested in the film then you’ll enjoy hearing what the three of them have to say.
