You’ve visited the House of 1000 Corpses and bore witness to The Devil’s Rejects; now it’s (almost) time to lay eyes on Rob Zombie’s latest creative effort, 3 From Hell. And it seems the long-rumored threequel has already hit the ground running.
Yes, after the carnival-centric 31 back in 2016, Zombie has returned to The Devil’s Rejects and its seedy universe, and it’s looking increasingly likely that the somewhat contentious filmmaker will be welcoming viewers on a trip into the fiery depths of the underworld in the not-so-distant future.
Be that as it may, production is about to enter its third week, and today Rob Zombie brings word that David Ury, who was seen in the director’s aforementioned 31 as Schizo-Head, has joined the cast. Details on his role are being held back at the moment, but it’s nice to see another familiar face hopping on board here. He’s not the only one, either, as Tom Papa has also signed on to play an undisclosed part, after working with Zombie on The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.
Elsewhere on the casting docket, the director’s called upon many of his other usual collaborators – and a few new faces – as well, including Austin Stoker (Assault on Precinct 13), The Howling and Cujo‘s Dee Wallace, Jeff Daniel Phillips, and Daniel Roebuck of Halloween fame, the latter of whom will be reprising his Devil’s Rejects role of Morris Green, Ruggsville’s number-one TV personality.
Not a day goes by without some form of horror-related update from Rob Zombie’s Instagram feed it seems, and we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest on 3 From Hell as the project continues to come together. It sounds like things are moving pretty quickly, too, so with any luck, we might just get a trailer or some official stills soon. Stay tuned!
