WHAT DOES TOBY LOOK LIKE?
F#ck you, The Ghost Dimension. Seriously. F*ck you, so hard.
Fans of the Paranormal Activity franchise have collectively been through some shit – like Paranormal Activity 4 – and we deserve to see Toby in full. We’ve invested hours into a mix of brutal, butt-clenching tension, and obvious, lazy jump scares, with the hope of having a wild finale that makes it all seem worthwhile. We earned the right to go out with a bang. Nay – we DESERVED a grand finale to Katie’s long-running plan. Toby! The coven! Time travel! All the parts were in place, but The Ghost Dimension ignores them, and just flips the audience off for an hour and a half worth of bullshit re-hashing.
It’s in the film’s final few scenes that characters do some research to uncover a goat-headed figure that mirrors Leila’s drawings, insinuating a possible meet-up with some grandmaster demon monster. Or, maybe with Toby’s materialization, he’ll assume some crazy, mutated form? I don’t know – SOMETHING crazy. Something worthwhile. BUT NO. What do we get? A “cleverly” placed camera that only exposes his dirty calf muscles, walking feet, and a quick-cut ending. Toby is a real boy now – THE END.
F$CK EVERYTHING. What a sham.
