Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, but we only have to wait until next July to see him in action in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Following Peter Parker’s high school adventures, the reboot is being directed by Cop Car‘s Jon Watts and pretty much everyone is expecting Marvel to get the wall-crawler right.

To do so, they’ll need to find the perfect storyline, and that’s where this article comes in. Marvel’s movies have so far adapted many comic book storylines, whether we’re talking about “Extremis” in Iron Man 3 or “The Winter Soldier” in, well, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

From well known classics to slightly more obscure storylines, all of these should be on the studio’s list of possible directions to take the character in as he enters Phase 3 come July 2017.
