8 Superhero Movie Crossovers We’d Love To See At Some Point

There's never been a better time to be a comic book movie fan. It’s become a bit of a cliché to say it by now, but that doesn’t make it any less true. As 2016 has made plain, with multiple franchises producing at least two a piece this year, various studios are working towards creating expansive, all-encompassing movie universes that mirror the shared worlds of the comics. Marvel are obviously in the lead with this at the moment, but Fox’s X-Men franchise is finally realizing its potential and DC are quickly playing catch up.

1) Justice League vs. The Avengers

The Crossover: The Marvel vs. DC war rages everyday amongst superhero fans, so naturally, we’d love to see this played out on the big screen for real. We’ve all wondered what would happen if Batman took on Captain America or Hulk smashed Superman, and a Justice League vs. The Avengers movie would finally put those questions to rest. Superhero vs. superhero movies are now in vogue, so there’s no better time to pit the heroes of Marvel and DC against each other.

Likelihood – 1/10: While the companies might enjoy a friendly rivalry on the page and have crossed over several times, things are very different when it comes to movie making. Walt Disney and Warner Bros. (who own Marvel and DC, respectively) are rival studios, so it’s difficult to imagine them ever putting aside their differences in order to make a film together. Which is a sad state of affairs for all involved – including the studios. Surely they must realize how much money a movie like this would make them?
