Great horror isn’t too difficult to find these days, especially with the genre having struck such a rich vein of form over the last year or so, but gems like Little Bone Lodge are somehow still allowed to slip through the cracks.

Director Matthias Hoene’s spine-chilling offering may be one of the more recent additions to the back catalogue of nightmarish stories to unfold on windswept nights, but it hasn’t gathered much in the way of buzz outside of the ardent gorehounds who make a point of tracking down as much terrifying content as they possibly can.

And yet, it definitely deserves to be seen by the largest audience possible, and not just because Little Bone Lodge can currently be found packing a perfect 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score. With a stellar central conceit that refreshes the familiar and atmosphere so thick you’d need a Jason Voorhees-sized knife to cut through it, the isolated and eerie adventure is one worth checking out as soon as possible.

To that end, streaming subscribers have been doing just that, with FlixPatrol naming Little Bone Lodge as one of the most-watched features on Amazon’s worldwide rankings this weekend. The basic setup finds a pair of law-breaking siblings on the run, where they decided to shelter from a storm in a rural farmhouse nestled in the Scottish Highlands.

However, once inside, it doesn’t take long for the duo to discover that dark secrets and ominous goings-on have ensured the property has remained so remote for a reason.
