The J-Lo vehicle Enough is not fondly remembered by many, despite a small push to reappraise it as an underrated thriller. Seeing Lopez as an abused wife in an awful relationship, you might be picking up the pieces as to why it’s suddenly in vogue again to view.

Released in 2002 to almost entirely negative reviews and seeing Lopez nominated for a Razzie, it has been one the most viewed movies on Netflix following the 2023 Grammys. FlixPatrol has seen it stick in the top ten since the ceremony, which saw Lopez and Affleck have a very public spat following an unfortunate close-up.

Enough is in some ways very good. The revenge-thriller aspect is very enjoyable, but it’s a whole lot of misery for very little pay-off in the end. Audiences gunning back to it following the Grammys doesn’t feel like a weird coincidence, but the world remembering sometimes reality might imitate art.

But in other ways, Enough is essentially exploitative trash. Watching this movie will make you feel like taking a cold, cold shower while listening to some of the more edgy Placebo tracks of the early 2000s. Sitting at 22 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, it has generally fared better in the years since with an audience score of 67 percent.

Enough is available to stream on Netflix.
