A trashy airborne thriller that’s somehow even dumber than its title takes to the streaming skies

It's entirely self-explanatory, at least.

Self-explanatory titles can often be helpful in letting prospective viewers know what they’re getting into, so in those terms the moniker of Deadly Mile High Club does a sterling job of just that. As you can imagine, though, the movie is every bit as stupid as its nomenclature would suggest, not that it seems to have put off streaming subscribers.

Per FlixPatrol, the Lifetime original that’s since migrated over to Paramount Plus has been embarking on an ascent through the most-watched charts, having appeared out of nowhere to deliver a quick fix of trash that didn’t even appeal to its target audience based on an embarrassing Rotten Tomatoes audience approval rating of only 14 percent.

As you may have no doubt gathered from the name, Deadly Mile High Club does indeed feature steamy scenes wrapped up in the shroud of murderous intent, with an unhinged flight instructor attempting to make one of her students fall madly in love with her. What’s the best way to do this, you may ask? Obviously, by destroying everyone else in his life, dropping double entendres like it’s nobody’s business, and then engaging in an aerial action sequence that would make Tom Cruise and Top Gun: Maverick cry.

Needless to say, those seeking high art are much better off looking elsewhere, but Paramount Plus paying customers have decreed in their numbers that Deadly Mile High Club is must-see madness, although heading in approaching anything even remotely good is destined to see expectations plummet faster than the plane the third act is largely set in.
