DC and Warner Bros’ marketing teams are nothing if not imaginative. It’s natural to expect fast food tie-ins, action figures, and t-shirts whenever a superhero movie hits theaters, though with DC it feels like they always want to add something a little extra. But perhaps their imaginations might go a little bit too far on occasion.

What better flavors sum up Batman v Superman than Caramel Crunch vs Chocolate Strawberry?

As Bird of Prey had the unfortunate luck to be released just as the COVID-19 pandemic began we doubt this promo moved the needle much:

Batman actually has a long history in pizza-based tie-ins, going right back to Tim Burton’s 1989 movie. That said, this Bat-shaped pizza was pretty damn cool:

This was actually one of the reasons Tim Burton never made his third Batman movie, with Returns‘ Catwoman too kinky and the Penguin way too disturbing to be part of a Happy Meal.

$130 for a meal box does sound a little ridiculous, but to be fair there were and are Snyder fans who’ll hoover this up, especially as this was released during lockdown when people had very little to do at home:

But it was a reply that really won me over. This The Batman Super MOP is truly a triumph of marketing genius. After all, Pattinson’s Batman was on a mission to clean up Gotham City – and what better way to do that than with this stylish branded kop and bucket?

We’re sure that these bright minds over at licensing are going to cook up a storm with the new DCU projects from James Gunn. Whether any of them can beat the might of a Batman mop and bucket remains to be seen, but we want to see them try!
