Finally, Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot is starting to pick up some steam, with Fox looking to test some high-profile actors and actresses later this month now that Simon Kinberg has turned in his script. As we already know, Miles Teller is said to be the favorite for Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic while Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan are in the running for Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. However, there are several other names that have entered the mix now as both Kit Harington and Richard Madden are testing for the role of Richards as well.

When it comes to Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Michael B. Jordan is still said to be the favorite and will be chemistry testing with the aforementioned actors next week. As for Ben Grimm/The Thing, there are unfortunately no names linked to the role just yet but as always, we’ll keep you posted when we hear more.

So, it looks like things are really starting to heat up on this project and with the release date only a year and a half away, I suspect that we’ll have a final cast set in place in the very near future. Teller and Jordan seem like locks at this point so that only leaves the roles of Grimm and Storm to fill, which shouldn’t take too long considering the fact that the casting process is now fully underway and a script is complete.

Fantastic Four will open on June 19, 2015. Tell us, who do you want to see play the titular heroes?
