When it comes to merchandise for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we’ve seen a lot lately. Almost too much, some might say. After all, we still want there to be at least a few surprises left when the film hits theatres, right?
Admittedly, there’s still much that we don’t know, and things will likely stay that way, even despite the deluge of tie-in merch, which continues today with a bunch of new promo art from the Star Wars Topps Card Trader app, Fathead.com and AdvancedGraphics.com. There’s quite a bit here, folks, so strap in.
Seen in the gallery below, we have a massive batch of images featuring most of the major players from The Last Jedi. There’s Luke, Rey, Kylo, Snoke, a Porg, Captain Phasma, Chewie, etc. There’s also a little surprise, though, as one of the shots features none other than Admiral Ackbar (it’s a trap!). While we already knew that he’d be back for Rian Johnson’s film, it’s great to get a look at him here as we haven’t seen the character yet in the studio’s marketing blitz. At least, not featured as prominently as he is here.
Aside from that, there’s a lot more to dive into as well. From new looks at villains like Hux to Stormtroopers and Flametroopers, just about every base is covered. None of it’s going to stop the presses or give up any groundbreaking story clues, but if it’s anything and everything from that galaxy far, far away that you’re after, the gallery above should keep you busy for a while.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi lights up theaters on December 15th and is one of three major Star Wars projects in active development – the other two being Lucasfilm’s Han Solo origin story and the so-far untitled Episode IX. An Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff is also on the cards (finally!), though given it’s still in search of a writer and script, it’ll be sometime yet before Stewjon’s wise old Jedi Master returns to the fray. Stay tuned to WGTC for more.
