It doesn’t get much better than the comedic brilliance of Alec Baldwin. I think the first time I really came to know who he was was when I saw Beetlejuice and I have since followed his career all the way to his weekly stints on 30 Rock. My being a fan of him though, makes it sad to say that he has decided not to be in the film adaptation of Broadway’s Rock of Ages.
While the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the soundtrack made me a little weary of the musical, the cast of Adam Shankman’s film version is really something to marvel at as it includes the likes of A-Listers such as Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Paul Giamatti among others.
Baldwin would have played Dennis, the owner of the Bourbon Room, which is the nightclub on Sunset Boulevard at the center of the film. Who do you think would be a good fit to take over this role?
