While Cassavetes has an interesting filmography, I can’t really say I’m a fan of Stewart or Pettyfer. Neither of them are that talented and I particularly have a strong dislike for Stewart. She didn’t exactly impress in Snow White and The Huntsman and I’m not sure why she’d step into another action role.

As for Alex Pettyfer, he wasn’t all that bad in Magic Mike, but I still can’t say I’m a big fan of his acting, he just seems too stiff and boring while up on screen. In fact, I can also aim that criticism towards Stewart too. Neither of them offer much in the way of emotion or range but seeing as Cali is an action flick, that’s probably not a big deal.

Honestly, I’m guessing that Cali will turn out similar to Cassavetes’ Alpha Dog, a crime flick starring a bunch of young actors that received mixed reviews.

So, for now, expect Cali to be a wholly mediocre action film with two popular names attached to it in hopes of inflating the box office total.
