New Line’s horror sequel has been teetering on the verge of its shoot now for what feels like months, as the Powers That Be began cobbling together their adult Losers. Not that we can say it hasn’t been worth the wait, mind you, given Chapter Two has cast such big-name A-listers as Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader and James McAvoy, who’s about to play the adult Bill Denbrough – stammer and all.
McAvoy has been pretty vocal about his involvement, too, and even let slip that It: Chapter Two was to commence principal photography a full seven days ahead of schedule. But it seems the cameras are officially rolling on what is undoubtedly one of 2019’s biggest movies, and below you’ll find the latest update from James McAvoy’s personal Instagram feed, which includes a number of polaroids featuring the Losers’ Club – old and new.
As previously reported, It: Chapter Two will call upon flashbacks to bring back the original child cast, and after their memorable performances last September, we’re very much looking forward to Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher and Stranger Things alum Finn Wolfhard returning to our screens once more.
They’ll naturally take a backseat once the spooky sequel gets going, as we understand the next ensemble to face Pennywise is as follows *deep breath* Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie, McAvoy as Bill, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike and Jay Ryan as Ben. Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink were recently added as Adrian Mellon and Tom Rogan, respectively, while Teach Grant is Henry Bowers, with Jess Weixler as Bill’s wife. And of course, Bill Skarsgård will reprise as Pennywise.
New Line has earmarked It: Chapter Two for release on September 5th, 2019.
