After months of hype, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, has finally splashed onto Netflix. The musical comedy got rave reviews when it landed in theaters on Oct 7, 2022, with many viewers and critics praising its heartwarming plot and stellar soundtrack. And now, the film has arrived on Netflix, giving a whole new audience a chance to enjoy this adorable film.

What is Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile about?

Based on the popular children’s book by Bernard Waber, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile follows Lyle, a crocodile who can sing. When Lyle is discovered by magician Hector P. Valenti, Valenti hopes this will be his ticket to the big time. However, a bout of stage fright causes issues, and Lyle soon ends up on an epic musical adventure as he tries to find his confidence and place in the world, making several new friends along the way. 

The Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile soundtrack features both original songs and licensed tracks made by legendary artists. Many of the original songs were written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, a songwriting duo who are most known for their work on The Greatest Showman and La La Land.
