All Six Members Of The Justice League Strike Battle Poses On New Merchandise Images

The Man of Steel returns to the fold in these all-new merchandise pics for Justice League. Zack Snyder's tentpole is due to open in November.

In the fallout of Batman V Superman, when Zack Snyder’s admittedly divisive event film ushered in the Dawn of Justice, it was always inevitable that Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel would spend much, if not all of Justice League‘s marketing campaign waiting in the wings.

That’s because, by the time the credits rolled on Batman V Superman two years ago, the latter had sacrificed himself for the good of humanity, leaving Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor to gloat that Superman’s death (?) had left the fate of the planet in a precarious place. Cue the advent of Ciarán Hinds’ all-powerful Steppenwolf.

But it seems you can’t keep the Last Son of Krypton down for too long. In the dying seconds of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder and his team included a shot of the soil levitating above Clark Kent’s coffin, all but confirming that, yes, Superman will be back in action by the time Justice League arrives in November. The jury’s still out on the finer details of the Man of Steel’s resurrection – fans continue to debate over the what, when, and how of the whole situation – but if you’re pining to see Henry Cavill back in costume as one of DC’s finest, Golden Link has you covered.

First spotted by CBM, the company is staying one step ahead of the game by unveiling its upcoming line of concession merchandise for Justice League, which includes the usual assortment of popcorn boxes, drink canisters and various pieces of superhero-themed memorabilia. But today we’re more interested in the pictures plastered all over said merchandise (seen above), which features all six members of the Justice League – namely Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – striking battle poses.

Justice League will be with us on November 17th, and it turns out Batgirl director Joss Whedon has been helping out behind the scenes for quite some time, leading up to the moment when Zack Snyder stepped out of the hot seat to tend to a family tragedy.
