Amanda Seyfried Thinks That He’s F**king Perfect

Funny or Die sketch director Jake Szymanski is currently gearing up to head into production with He's F**king Perfect, which was originally set up at Fox and had Emma Stone signed on to star. It appears that things have been switched up a bit, however, as today THR is reporting that the romantic comedy is now housed at Universal with Amanda Seyfried in the lead and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Kevin Messick producing under their Gary Sanchez banner.

Funny or Die sketch director Jake Szymanski is currently gearing up to head into production with He’s F**king Perfect, which was originally set up at Fox and had Emma Stone signed on to star. It appears that things have been switched up a bit, however, as today THR is reporting that the romantic comedy is now housed at Universal with Amanda Seyfried in the lead and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Kevin Messick producing under their Gary Sanchez banner.

For those unfamiliar with the plot, which is probably most of you, He’s F**king Perfect follows a “social media savvy girl who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her research skills to turn herself into his match.”

Though Seyfried isn’t exactly known for comedy, she has been on a rather welcome hot streak lately, giving wonderful performances in films like Lovelace and Les Miserables. While Stone perhaps has stronger comedic chops, Seyfriend has proven in recent years that she’s a versatile actress and I’m excited to see her step into some new territory.

As for the film itself, it doesn’t sound like anything groundbreaking for the genre but with the talent that’s currently attached, it could be a solid entry into what is becoming an area that’s often full of recycled junk.
