In just a matter of weeks Spider-Man fans worldwide will be feasting their eyes on Marc Webb‘s adaptation of the famous webslinger, The Amazing Spider-Man. It’s not like Sony hasn’t released enough marketing material to get us ready but just in case you’re not on board the hype train, we have a new, albeit brief, TV spot from the film that sees Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) facing off against The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) in the streets of New York.

The Amazing Spider-Man tells the story of a young high school student, Peter Parker who finds a secret briefcase that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path ultimately leads him to Dr. Curt Connors, and his alter ego, The Lizard. Using his new-found powers, Peter will have to make some life-altering choices to shape his destiny and save Manhattan.

Aside from the charming Garfield as Peter Parker, Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man will star Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Rhys Ifans as The Lizard and Sally Field as Aunt May.

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theatres July 3rd.
