An underrated hero that hasn’t appeared in the MCU yet gets praised for having the best superpowers

And she will fight you if you say otherwise.

One of the most exciting parts of bringing comic book heroes and villains to the big screen, whether it’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Fox Universe, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and everything in between, is seeing how their superpowers end up manifesting. CGI may be a tricky beast to wrangle at times, but with the right attention and creativity in their uses (looking at you, musical fight scene in Multiverse of Madness), it always reaffirms just why audiences love these movies.

And there’s one character in particular whose powers have the unique distinction of having absolutely zero flashiness while still being some of the most entertaining around, and that’s Deadpool 2‘s Domino, the probability-altering mutant who, luck willing, may make the jump with Deadpool to Deadpool 3, which would officially mark her presence in the MCU alongside the Merc with the Mouth.

We’ve already seen what the power of luck looks like in live-action thanks to Deadpool 2; a series of comically close calls and even more hilarious banter from Deadpool as a result, and the masses of r/marvelstudios seem eager for Domino to bring those shenanigans to Earth-199999, as evidenced by the subreddit’s recent praise for the hero and her abilities.

Indeed, if we cast our minds back to Infinity War, Domino certainly would have been handy in Vormir.

On the other hand, luck is also a matter of perspective, and that perspective isn’t quite as kind to Domino as the rest of her power is.

But if there’s anything more powerful than her super-luck, it’s the ferocity with which she defends its legitimacy as a superpower; an onslaught that even Deadpool couldn’t survive.

At the end of the day, it’s hard to argue that a superpower that keeps you alive against all odds isn’t one of the best around. It may not loan itself to action or spectacle quite like Doctor Strange’s magic or Captain Marvel’s cosmic beams, but it certainly made us remember Domino, who we hope will make her MCU debut once Deadpool 3 releases in theaters on Nov. 8, 2024.
