Another Possible Avengers 4 Title Has Been Ruled Out

Jeremy Conrad and the folks over at MCU Cosmic have ruled out yet another title from the Avengers 4 shortlist. Its name? Fallen Heroes.

When Marvel boss Kevin Feige took to the stage to introduce Avengers 4 at CineEurope earlier this week, he referred to the 2019 sequel as simply Avengers: Untitled. Nothing more, nothing less.

Of course, Feige is the first to admit that the hullabaloo surrounding Avengers 4‘s mystery title has been blown out of proportion – a storm in a teacup, if you will – as it’s really only a matter of time before the studio makes its grand announcement.

But that has in no way curbed online enthusiasm, given there are entire forums and subreddits dedicated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, in particular, the moniker of Marvel’s next big team-up movie. A number of early contenders have already been crossed off the list entirely, including Endgame, Disassembled and of course, Infinity War – Part II, which was really more of a placeholder than anything else. And now, thanks to the folks over at MCU Cosmic, we can strike another title from the Avengers 4 shortlist – Fallen Heroes.

Chances are Marvel plans to wait until Ant-Man and the Wasp is out in the wild before deferring resources to Avengers 4 and its own mega marketing campaign, as we know the studio plans to skip San Diego Comic-Con next month, after it was announced that they won’t be hosting an event in Hall H. That’s a bummer, really, especially when you consider that 2018 marks the year in which the MCU celebrates its 10th anniversary – not to mention its 20th installment, thanks to the aforementioned Peyton Reed-directed sequel.

But there’s still plenty to look forward to; chief among them being the release of Avengers 4 on May 3rd, 2019 – you know, assuming the studio doesn’t bring its event movie forward into April.
