Another prospective ‘Fantastic Four’ favorite emerges as the rumor mill keeps turning

Has the MCU's Sue Storm been leaked?

Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four will land in theaters in early 2025, meaning that wheels are turning behind the scenes in earnest. Matt Shakman is directing a script by Avatar: The Way of Water‘s Josh Friedman, though we still don’t know who’ll be sliding into those blue bodysuits and piloting the Fantasticar.

Without any official announcements the rumor mill is revving up, with yesterday seeing none other than Adam Driver mooted to play the MCU’s Reed Richards, and we may also know who’s in line to pay Sue Storm:

This is The Crown, Mission Impossible – Fallout, and Hobbs & Shaw‘s Vanessa Kirby, who’d admittedly be a pretty great fit for the role and a fine foil for an Adam Driver Mr Fantastic. Here’s hoping we get an inkling of who Marvel would like as Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm soon.

Fans will know very soon whether these rumors are accurate, but perhaps Marvel Studios is wary of making big casting announcements given that it’s been four years since they unveiled Mahershala Ali as Blade, and he still hasn’t appeared on screen.

Whoever ends up playing these characters, Kevin Feige will be hoping the quartet will breathe some new life into the MCU. Their arrival will also likely see Victor Von Doom finally make his MCU debut, and if he does, we’re hoping the exceptionally cool villain sticks around to be a major threat in crossover movies for years to come.

Fantastic Four news is still in the realm of rumor, though we suspect we’ll get an official casting unveiling very soon.
