With each passing month, the folks over at Empire Magazine elect a headline act to be cover star – think Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story – of their latest issue, and this time around the honor has fallen to Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Yes, Marvel’s miniature sequel is poised for its big debut early next month – in the U.S., at least – and is said to revisit Scott Lang immediately after the events of Captain America: Civil War, making it perhaps the perfect palate cleanser to Infinity War.

Meanwhile, Empire’s new issue looks set to hit store shelves on Thursday, though a number of subscribers have already gotten their hands on the Marvel-themed copy (h/t CBM), revealing a smattering of admittedly low-res photocopies of Empire’s Ant-Man coverage. The real deal will likely be posted online over the coming days, but until then, below you’ll find a sneak peek of what to expect:

The standard cover is also included in the gallery above, which makes a nice compliment to the subscriber-only one designed by Marvel Studios veteran and all-around artistic maestro, Andy Park. It was a suitably retro-inspired preview for the studio’s third and final release of 2018, all the while retaining the neon blue effects one would associate with the Quantum Realm.

Speaking of which, it’s looking increasingly likely that the MCU’s alternate dimension will play a pretty major role across Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel, as it’s the Quantum Realm that will seemingly allow Marvel’s creators to bind the final movies of Phase 3 together. Up first though is Scott Lang’s next Avengers-less adventure, and it all kicks off on July 6th.
