Ant-Man Teaser Reveals Tiny Look At Upcoming Trailer

Marvel has revealed a teaser for the upcoming Ant-Man trailer, giving us a fun (albeit small) glimpse at the film. Without a magnifying glass it's nearly impossible to make out what any of the footage actually entails, but we luckily won't have to wait long until the full, human-sized trailer debuts, as it's set to arrive during the premiere of Agent Carter on January 6th.

Marvel has revealed a teaser for the upcoming Ant-Man trailer, giving us a fun (albeit small) glimpse at the film. Without a magnifying glass it’s nearly impossible to make out what any of the footage actually entails, but we luckily won’t have to wait long until the full, human-sized trailer debuts, as it’s set to arrive during the premiere of Agent Carter on January 6th.

Many are already crying foul at the teaser, but I think it’s an incredibly smart move on Marvel’s part. Ant-Man has already fallen under a great deal of scrutiny and online ridicule, and there’s no telling how general audiences will react to the miniature Avenger getting his own solo film. The name “Ant-Man” carries with it a great deal of silliness as well, so I think it’s smart for the studio to play that up and not shy away from it. After all, Marvel took a similar approach to Guardians of the Galaxy, and just look how well that particular gamble worked out!

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly and Corey Stoll. It’s scheduled to crawl into theaters (in human sized form, we assure you) on July 17th, 2015.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
