Ant-Man And The Wasp’s Paul Rudd Discusses Sitting Out Of Avengers: Infinity War

As to why this happened, that’s a creative decision ultimately left to the likes of Kevin Feige and company, for we’re well aware of how each movie comprising the Marvel Cinematic Universe is laid out as part of a grand tapestry. Still, it’s become public knowledge that Scott Lang will factor into 2019’s Avengers 4.

So, even though True Believers will further acquaint themselves with actor Paul Rudd before you know it, it’s no surprise to anyone that he would’ve liked to have taken part in the box office smash that was Infinity War, saying the following to Cinema Blend:

“I was watching it thinking, ‘Wow, there’s this really great party going on, and I guess my invitation got lost in the mail.’ FOMO – is that what [it’s called]?… It’s like, I know they’re over there!”

Already, director Peyton Reed addressed this topic, so it was only a matter of time before Rudd himself spoke of his “fear of missing out.” Even so, Infinity War barely found the chance to afford mainstays like Captain America and Black Widow a decent amount of screentime, so it’s not much of a shocker that a few of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes didn’t get the call. But hey, I guess that gives Scott Lang a chance to grab a beer with Hawkeye!

Ant-Man and the Wasp arrives in theaters this Friday, July 6th, and you can prepare yourself by reading our review.
