The first wave of reviews for Logan are now online and so far, they’ve been overwhelmingly positive, and while we’ve also heard some disappointing news about the classic yellow costume not making an appearance, it appears as if Fox and James Mangold still have a surprise in store for fans when the movie is released theatrically next month.

While critics weren’t treated to a post-credits scene during their screenings, it’s been revealed today than an extra three minutes has been added to Logan‘s runtime. That’s pretty lengthy, so this could be something which plays a big part in setting up the future of the X-Men universe now that Jackman is gone.

That, or it’s going to feature the much rumored Deadpool cameo, which Mangold still denies but fans won’t give up on. There’s also the possibility that it’ll set up something like X-Force. Bear in mind that Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and Pierce Brosnan were photographed together not too long ago, so perhaps Cable will try to recruit the two of them?

Right now, all we can do is speculate, but this news is definitely exciting. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that Mangold cut a key scene from the movie that he didn’t want to be spoiled by critics ahead of time, and with Logan set to reach the UK on February 28th, chances are we’ll find out soon enough.
