Now that Christopher Nolan has completed his Batman trilogy, all heads are turning to the upcoming Justice League film and the question on everyone’s mind is who will step into Christian Bale’s shoes and play Batman? Well, we don’t have an answer for you just yet but we can tell you that the studio has their eye on Armie Hammer.
If you recall, the actor was in line to play the Caped Crusader a few years back when George Miller was trying to put his version of Justice League together. Of course, that never came through but now that the studio is trying again, they’ve brought Hammer back onto their radar.
Moviehole reports that Warner Bros. is looking at the actor for the role and that Will Bealls’ version of the script has Batman as a young man, younger than Christian Bale at least. So it would make sense that Hammer would be in line for the role.
The actor is pretty popular these days, with roles in some big films like Mirror Mirror, J. Edgar and of course, the upcoming Lone Ranger. He also has the proper stature and physique to become the Caped Crusader. To be honest, I really don’t have a hard time seeing him as Batman at all.
Now, the film is still at least two or three years away, so this news should be taken lightly, but if it does turn out that Armie Hammer is the one to take on the role, you won’t hear any complaints from this writer.
What about you? Would you be alright with seeing Armie Hammer playing Batman in the Justice League film?
