New Clues Paint A Picture Of Avengers 4’s Ending

Marvel Studios is doing its best to keep a lid on Avengers 4. After all, we still don't even know its actual title. However, the actors of the MCU are only human and so have let slip a few juicy details that allow us to build up a decent picture of what awaits Earth's Mightiest Heroes when the book's closed on Phase Three next May.

Marvel Studios is doing its best to keep a lid on Avengers 4. After all, we still don’t even know its actual title. However, the actors of the MCU are only human and so have let slip a few juicy details that allow us to build up a decent picture of what awaits Earth’s Mightiest Heroes when the book’s closed on Phase Three next May.

Two of the most intriguing slip-ups come from Sebastian Stan, AKA Bucky Barnes, and Pepper Potts actress Gwyneth Paltrow. And, when put together, they actually may have just revealed what happens at the end of the much anticipated movie.

First off, Stan’s told us that he filmed a scene which featured just about every single hero who’s been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date – including Ant-Man and the Wasps Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer as Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, respectively. It would make sense that this would happen at the climax of Avengers 4, as it’d be the perfect way to bring the first ten years of the franchise to a close.

Well, almost the perfect way. If the ultimate hero team-up occurs at the end of the big third act, then what form should the coda of the movie take? Well, Gwyneth Paltrow may have told us when she recently revealed that Tony Stark and Pepper Potts are “married, and they have a child.” That’s news to us, so presumably this comes to pass in Avengers 4.

Like Stan’s spoiler, this has to happen at the end of the film, too. As Tony’s the founding father of the MCU, Pepper is its first lady and their romance goes back to the very beginning of the series in 2008’s Iron Man. Having them tie the knot would literally tie together all the loose ends of the MCU’s first decade.

Then again, even if all these things happen, we don’t know for sure that we’ve correctly guessed their placement in Avengers 4. For instance, Tony and Pepper’s child could already be born by the opening of the film, which is expected to jump forward in time by a few years. Either way, all will be revealed when everything ends on May 3rd.
