Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer Will Premiere During Next Week’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

One of the biggest movies of 2015 will undoubtedly be Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron, the gargantuan finale of the studio's "Phase Two" slate of superhero films. In the Joss Whedon-directed blockbuster, Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the rest of the Avengers are pitted against sentient robot Ultron (James Spader) and his army of killer robots.

One of the biggest movies of 2015 will undoubtedly be Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, the gargantuan finale of the studio’s “Phase Two” slate of superhero films.

By all accounts, this movie is going to be huge and will completely shake the foundations of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And now, we know when to expect our first complete look at it. Last night, ABC announced that it will be exclusively unveiling the trailer during the October 28th broadcast of its Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

The episode, titled “A Fractured House,” is the sixth of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s second season. Something tells me that next week won’t find the series dropping to a new ratings low, especially if, as is currently the case, ABC does not reveal exactly during which commercial break it will be unleashing the Age of Ultron trailer.

Here’s the official synopsis for the upcoming superhero sequel, which Whedon has promised will be darker and more emotional than his first Avengers film. Consider our interest piqued:

When Tony Stark jumpstart s a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as they battle to save the planet from destruction at the hands of the villainous Ultron.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will arrive in theaters on May 1st, 2015.
