The mid-credits scene of last year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp saw Scott Lang stranded in the Quantum Realm with no outside help, and while the first Avengers: Endgame trailer ultimately confirmed that Ant-Man will find a way out of his predicament, it’s looking pretty inevitable that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be venturing back into this mysterious place.
The Instagram version of the latest Endgame trailer may have even revealed just how the gang is journeying into the Microverse. As you’ll see in the below video, the screen’s square aspect ratio reveals that Scott is holding onto the handle of some baggage as he looks at some missing posters with a look of confusion. While we don’t see the main body of his case, it would be a pretty good guess that Scott’s holding onto a shrunk-down version of Hank Pym’s laboratory.

As those who’ve seen Ant-Man and the Wasp will recall, Pym’s lab contains a gateway into the Quantum Realm, as well as other equipment that would be necessary for anyone venturing into the region. We can therefore take this recent find as the latest in a long line of evidence that the Avengers’ next mission will involve journeying into the realm, perhaps in order to make use of those Time Vortexes that Janet van Dyne previously mentioned.
The latest trailer even sees the team sporting a set of white uniforms similar to the Ant-Man suit, though the footage stops short of actually showing any characters in the Quantum Realm. Regardless, we’ll find out how Scott Lang escapes from the Microverse, and what he discovers while he’s in there, when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
