First spotted by FanFest some weeks ago, this rumored tidbit alleges that Ty Simpkins (Jurassic World) will be back to reprise the role of Harley Keener. If, like me, you’re bad with names, that’s the little boy who gave Tony Stark a helping hand when he needed it most, resulting in a peculiar father-son dynamic that would later inspire the general tone of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

As for Avengers: Endgame and, more specifically, Simpkins’ role in it, one would assume that his character will be returning as part of the film’s Quantum Realm sequence, given that many viewers already believe that Endgame‘s use of time travel is a foregone conclusion. Or perhaps he’s a figment of Tony Stark’s imagination? After all, being stranded in space with only Nebula for company – and precisely zero hope of rescue, too – will surely do a number on Stark’s mental health.

But much like every other Endgame rumor doing the rounds, we advise taking this potential casting tidbit with a grain of salt, as Marvel Studios is yet to divulge any official information regarding the next Avengers movie – aside from that foreboding teaser trailer, of course. How and ever, the next time we see Avengers: Endgame in action, it’ll be Captain Marvel‘s time to shine, and given her immense, near-limitless power, we wouldn’t be surprised if Carol Danvers was the one to rescue Tony from space.

Hailed as the MCU’s biggest ever showdown – so far, at least – Avengers: Endgame is due to grace theaters on April 26th. And Marvel’s cinematic franchise will never be the same again…
