The character can be spotted shortly after Hulk and Rocket come looking for the God of Thunder. Look to the right of Smart Hulk as he’s climbing out of the truck, and you’ll see the towering figure walking by the water. With such little screen time to go on, it’s hard to say for sure who this character is supposed to be, but we can at least try to narrow down our options.

For starters, it probably goes without saying that he’s no human, and he doesn’t look like an Asgardian, either. But since he doesn’t come across as a threat to the people of New Asgard, perhaps we can take him to be a local resident. With that in mind, our best guess would be that he’s one of the gladiators who traveled from Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok. In fact, he even has a similar build to one of the fighters in the 2017 film, as you can see in the gallery above.

Nonetheless, since Marvel Studios has yet to offer any official clarification on the matter, the unnamed character’s true identity is still yours to imagine. That being said, if we ever do see him again, then there’s a very good chance it’ll be in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 5th, 2021. In the meantime, Avengers: Endgame is out now on Digital, and is available on Blu-ray and DVD from August 13th.
