Avengers: Endgame Re-Release Post-Credits Scene Revealed, And It’s Very Disappointing

The post-credits scene for the Avengers: Endgame re-release has been revealed, and if this is actually what Marvel's going with, it's very disappointing.

Avengers: Endgame

Though most Marvel fans have surely already begun to turn their attention towards Spider-Man: Far From Home, it’s clear that the buzz surrounding Avengers: Endgame hasn’t fully died down just yet. Indeed, Disney and Marvel haven’t entirely called it quits on the film and as you’ve surely heard, it’s heading back to theaters this weekend with additional footage, some of which will include a new post-credits scene focused on the Hulk.

As for what else you’ll see, well, there’s also a Stan Lee tribute, a special message from co-director Anthony Russo and a sneak peek at the aforementioned Far From Home. Clearly, though, the additional scene with Mark Ruffalo’s Avenger will be what most are looking forward to but if what we’re hearing is correct, it may end up being a pretty big disappointment.

Sources close to We Got This Covered have told us that the scene in question is only about a minute long and simply shows the hero leaping into action when some kids need saving. They’re trapped in a burning building and Hulk jumps in and rescues them. That’s it, apparently. No juicy teases for Phase 4, no surprise cameos, just Banner saving the day by helping out some children.

All things considered, it’s likely that a lot of people will be leaving the theater a bit underwhelmed if they choose to check out the re-release. Then again, it’s not as if Marvel needs that many more fans to purchase tickets if they hope to dethrone Avatar. As of this past weekend, it has just under $40 million to go before it finally beats the sci-fi epic’s total figure and can officially be called the highest-grossing film of all time.

That’s not a huge gap, but again, it all depends on this upcoming re-release of Avengers: Endgame and we should have a better idea by the end of the weekend if it’s managed to do the trick or if the film will have to simply settle for second place. Stay tuned.
