Now that we’ve finally received a second trailer for Avengers: Endgame, the requisite critical examination of every frame contained therein has already begun.
When it comes to what we’re about to discuss, there’s really no need to do a careful pause in order to confirm that Clint Barton’s bootlaces are identical to those worn during Brian Michael Bendis’ run or whatever. Instead, I got excited about something a little more obvious – and that’s seeing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes donning new costumes.
Granted, the same could be said about the genre as a whole, but we as fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have grown accustomed to its characters changing attire in each successive outing – even if those are only slight alterations.
This instance, however, illustrates big changes to the Avengers’ threads because they’re opting for a more uniformed look. Proving to us that the earlier LEGO leak did indeed reflect the film itself, the major players can be seen in matching white costumes in the gallery below.
In the past, guys like Captain America would sport an “A” on their shoulder or wherever in order to assure us they’re in a team-up movie, but this creative move is much more overt. To be honest, I think it’s kind of cool seeing each of the heroes somewhat outside their comfort zones. Plus, you have to admit the toy companies are probably giddy beyond belief.
Of course, there will be much, much more to discuss as we inch ever closer to Avengers: Endgame‘s arrival in theaters, which is scheduled for April 26th. As always, you’re encouraged to keep watching this space as more develops.
In the meantime, feel free to let us know what you think about the white uniforms in the comments section below.
