You may’ve already heard a few popular suggestions that have made the rounds in recent months, from Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie, to Clint Barton’s daughter Lila, to the daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. In a new theory from Reddit user FableArtist, however, the case is made that the 13 Reasons Why star could actually be playing the child of Drax the Destroyer, named Heather Douglas, aka Moondragon.

Among FableArtist’s arguments for this theory is the observation that Moondragon often associates with Captain Marvel in the comics, making the timing of Carol Danvers’ arrival fortuitous. Moreover, it’s observed that the character has a grudge to bear against Thanos in the comics after he kills the monks of Shao-Lom who raised her on Titan. Throw the death of Drax on top of that, and it sounds like Moondragon has a lot of skin in the game.

The theory also mentions a few further connections to the MCU’s current inhabitants, and even makes the case that Moondragon might be the one to rescue Tony Stark from his drift through space. Nonetheless, the evidence for this prediction seems very thin, depending largely on tenuous links in the comics and various what-ifs without ever really connecting all this speculation to Katherine Langford specifically. Regardless, we’ll find out what role the Russo Brothers have lined up for the actress when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
