New Avengers: Endgame TV Spot Confirms Another Dusted Character

Marvel debuted a brand new Avengers: Endgame TV spot earlier tonight and it seemingly confirms another victim of Thanos' snap.

Marvel Studios recently dropped a shedload of new character posters for Avengers: Endgame. What was interesting about them was that while the marketing for the movie has mostly focused on the heroes who are still around to take on Thanos, these one-sheets placed a big focus on those who perished in the snap, with the studio giving each deceased character their very own black and white design.

To recap, those who were wiped out by the Mad Titan in the Decimation at the end of Avengers: Infinity War were Spider-Man, Shuri, Drax, Bucky, Wasp, Groot, Nick Fury, Loki, Scarlet Witch, Mantis, Vision, Gamora, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Star-Lord and Falcon. You can see them all for yourself in the gallery down below, but it seems that Marvel forgot about one important person who Thanos’ snap also took away from us: Dr. Erik Selvig.

Yes, it seems the fan favorite character played by Stellan Skarsgård in several MCU films also lost his life thanks to the Decimation, and we know this from the new TV spot up above, which briefly shows his face among those that the Avengers lost.

But that isn’t all this latest promo has to offer up, as there’s actually quite a lot of fresh material here, including a shot of Tony tearing up and some ominous new lines from Thanos, who provides the narration. Granted, it’s not terribly long, but for those eager for any and all new footage, it’ll do the trick.

Circling back to Dr. Selvig though, and while we don’t imagine he’ll show up in the flesh – even though the other dusted characters will likely return – it’s still nice to see that Marvel hasn’t forgotten about him and with any luck, Avengers: Endgame may nod towards some of the other fallen heroes who might not have been seen in Infinity War but still lost their lives in the Decimation.
