It’s long been assumed that the upcoming Avengers: Endgame will see a few series regulars drop out of the saga in order to make room for new characters. And while it’s very likely that some of these heroes will be making non-tragic exits, it would surely be a wasted opportunity for Marvel’s Phase 3 finale not to give us at least one emotional death scene.
Consequently, fans have been speculating for much of this past year on the question of who among Earth’s Mightiest Heroes might be about to meet an unfortunate end. But while fan theories are all well and good, a source close to We Got This Covered can seemingly confirm at least one character who won’t live to see the end of Endgame, and if you’re even a little weary about spoilers, we’d advise you to stop reading now.

Okay, if you’ve made it this far down the page, then we’ll assume that you’re perfectly happy to find out what happens, so here goes. According to our source, Captain America is going to be killed by none other than Thanos himself in the Russo Brothers’ next film. We don’t have any further details aside from that, but there you have it. If what we hear is true, then it seems that the spoiler dropped last month by Serena Williams may’ve been genuine after all.
Of course, just because one hero is set to meet their demise in Avengers: Endgame, that certainly doesn’t mean we can assume that the rest of the gang is safe. And with that in mind, we’ll find out who else is scheduled to meet a sad end when the film hits theaters on April 26th.
