Avengers: Infinity War Has Been Filming In Secret For 2 Weeks

Given that Marvel Studios usually puts out a press release whenever one of their films begins production, it's a bit surprising to learn that Avengers: Infinity War has already been shooting for 2 weeks in Atlanta. Granted, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok have all wrapped already, so it makes sense that Joe and Anthony Russo's Phase 3 film would go next, but still, we expected to hear something from the studio to make it official.

For whatever reason, Marvel decided to remain silent while Infinity War quietly snuck into production. We know this because Atlanta Filming Tweeted out the following (though it’s since been deleted):

While there’s always the chance that they could be wrong, the account is usually pretty accurate when it comes to this type of stuff. As such, we imagine Marvel will announce something shortly. It still begs the questions though of why they decided to keep it a secret for so long?

Perhaps it’s because they’re still trying to figure out who exactly will be starring in the film. After all, almost every single character seen in the MCU thus far has been rumored to have a role in Infinity War, with actors constantly dropping hints that they’ll appear in the massive blockbuster. It’s important to remember though that the studio hasn’t actually confirmed anything just yet and at this point, it’s all speculation.

While we can expect the core members to be back in action (Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America etc.), what about some of the other heroes, like The Defenders, Doctor Strange and the Guardians of the Galaxy? We’ve heard in the past that they’ll all show up here, but so far, nothing’s been confirmed. That’s why Marvel’s official announcement should be pretty interesting, as it’ll finally give us a firm idea as to which characters to expect in Avengers: Infinity War.

As we wait for something concrete from the studio to arise, tell us, who would you like to see fight alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the film? Head down to the comments section below and give us your thoughts!
