With The Last Jedi already doing gangbusters across the globe ($473 million), is there a bigger movie on the current Hollywood calendar than Avengers: Infinity War?

Dubbed Marvel’s “deadliest showdown,” the pic heralds a titanic battle between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Thanos, the unruly Mad Titan who’s been lurking in the shadows ever since the post-credits scene of The Avengers. Six years later, and Josh Brolin’s über-villain is finally ready to leave that levitating space throne and take matters into his own giant, oversized hands.

There’s an apocalyptic invasion on the cards, then, and the Russo Brothers will be calling upon every single hero in the Marvel pantheon – yes, even Hawkeye – to fend off Thanos and his Black Order.

But thanks to Instagram user ‘superhero_world1996,’ we now have three stellar Infinity War posters that draw attention to some of the sequel’s greatest heroes, including Captain America (Chris Evans), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

Pretty awesome, eh? We should note that the latter has been confirmed for the so-far untitled Avengers 4, but her involvement in Avengers: Infinity War is still subject to debate. Neither Marvel nor Brie Larson have revealed whether Captain Marvel will appear in the 2018 sequel, but with Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s standalone movie pegged to arrive in early 2019, a small cameo for Miss. Danvers would certainly go a long way to establishing her character as the newest (and strongest?) member of the MCU.

Come next year, Marvel Studios and the Russo Brothers will be ready to take us to Infinity War…and beyond. May 4th, 2018 is the date for your diaries, by which point we’ll have already clocked eyes on Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther solo movie. Look for that one to arrive on February 16th.
