Earlier this morning, Marvel Studios blew the lid off Avengers: Infinity War to unveil a suitably epic teaser trailer teeming with Easter eggs, subtle callbacks, and costumed crusaders. It was enough to prompt a frame-by-frame analysis, and it’s fair to say that moviegoers will be combing through Infinity War‘s historic preview for weeks – nay, months – to come.

But beneath all of the sweeping action shots – from Wakanda to New York City, the above promo is a truly globe-trotting affair – was an exciting peek at Spider-Man’s new suit. It is, essentially, the same one offered to Peter at the tail-end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, though we imagine Tony Stark has thrown in a few more bells and whistles to beef up the hero’s arsenal.

Mind you, it’s about the closest thing we’ll get to the Iron Spider suit, and Cinema Blend has even captured a .gif of Parker swinging into action. Meanwhile, there’s also a handful of freeze-frames included in the gallery below, in case you want to have a closer look.

And let’s face it: Tom Holland’s wall-crawler will need all of the bleeding-edge tech he can get his webs on if he’s to really stand a chance against Thanos and his unruly Black Order.

The Infinity War teaser showed Spidey being pinned down by one of the film’s primary antagonists, though considering Holland’s hero has already been confirmed for Avengers 4, it does lower the stakes somewhat. There will, of course, be casualties in Marvel’s Infinity War, after Joe and Anthony Russo revealed that the Powers That Be have already named the expendable characters.

Nevertheless, if it’s more coverage you’re after, look no further than our in-depth analysis that presents the 10 biggest moments from this morning’s reveal, and remember, Avengers: Infinity War will herald Marvel’s “deadliest showdown” on May 4th, 2018.
