Of course, it makes sense that the marketing campaign and merchandise will revolve around Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s most familiar faces, though there’s one obvious highlight here. That’s Baby Groot, a character we can expect to both steal our hearts and the contents of our bank accounts when toys start reaching stores in a couple of months from now. Beyond that, this artwork doesn’t really reveal anything particularly exciting, though we do obviously get a look at the new-ish costumes which the heroes will be wearing in the sequel, which should please fans.

Back in 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy was a bigger hit than anyone expected, and chances are that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will reach the billion-dollar mark at the box office. That’s more good news for Marvel Studios, especially as these characters look set to take on a key role in Avengers: Infinity War next year. The sequel’s got a lot to live up to, as its predecessor set the bar unbelievably high, but something tells us that James Gunn and co. are up to the task.

Tell us, which of these characters are you most excited to see return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments section down below!
