Not to be outdone by their main competitor, Warner Bros. has used tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live to premiere a brand new trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Previewed earlier this week on FOX’s Gotham, the footage certainly does not disappoint, as it teases an absolutely epic showdown between the two icons.
We’re still digesting everything that’s on display here, but there are certainly some things to take note of right off the bat.
For one, it’s surprising to see the trailer giving us a glimpse of what appears to be some humor and a lighter tone than what previous marketing has shown us. The scenes with Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor in particular are a far cry from the darker material we’ve been expecting, and it’s nice to know that the film won’t be so serious and grim.
[zergpaid]Another thing worth mentioning is, of course, Doomsday. He doesn’t get much time here, but what we see looks pretty damn epic, and he’ll no doubt make a formidable opponent for the titular heroes, and Wonder Woman.
Speaking of DC’s Holy Trinity, there’s a pretty cool shot of the trio right near the end, getting ready to face their new threat. They certainly look prepared for battle, and we can’t wait to see how they work together to take down Doomsday and end the devastation that he’ll no doubt cause.
