Former Batman Villain Cillian Murphy Wants To Star In A Marvel Movie

It's rare to see actors jump between Marvel and DC Comics movies, but one who is clearly desperate to do so is Cillian Murphy. It’s rare to see actors jump between Marvel and DC Comics movies, but one who is clearly desperate to do so is Cillian Murphy. The actor played The Scarecrow in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, and his take on the unhinged Dr. Jonathan Crane definitely had a lasting impact on the Christopher Nolan helmed franchise.

Now though, Murphy (who is currently promoting Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea alongside Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man star Tom Holland) has revealed that he would love the opportunity to become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Here’s what he had to say about making that a reality in a recent interview:

“I love those movies. My kids love those movies and I hear there’s an amazing new Spider-Man I’ll be checking out… I’d love to be involved.”

For what it’s worth, Holland actually agreed with his co-star, jokingly asking him to “come on over” to Marvel’s side. Will it ever happen? That obviously remains to be seen, but enough time has passed since the release of The Dark Knight Trilogy that it wouldn’t be strange for Murphy to now show up as a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Tell us, who do you think Murphy could play in the world of The Avengers?
