Anticipation for Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman is at an all-time high, especially now that the cast has been assembled in Detroit and are ready to begin filming at the end of the week. While many fans have been clamoring (read: begging) for images of the new Batsuit, Zack Snyder whet our appetites today with something a little more intriguing.

The director dropped a bombshell this morning when he Tweeted out the first official image, which came in the form of a picture of the new Batmobile, mostly hidden underneath a tarp.

Needless to say, fans are going absolutely crazy for this image, and for good reason. The Batmobile is perhaps the most iconic vehicle in film and comics history, and each new iteration of the Caped Crusader comes with a new version. This design seems to be a mix of the Tumbler from the Dark Knight trilogy, and the version we saw in Tim Burton’s Batman films.

While the image itself isn’t much more than a tease, it’s an extremely exciting one, especially since Snyder hints that we’ll be seeing the full Batmobile tomorrow. Does this also mean that we’ll finally get those costume photos we’ve been anxiously waiting for? Only time will tell.
