Capping off a busy day for the Marvel camp, a series of behind-the-scenes pictures for Thor: Ragnarok have now surfaced online showcasing all-new aliens, otherworldly sets, and Chris Hemsworth leaping into action as the eponymous Norse God.
Directed by Taika Waititi (Hunt For the Wilderpeople), Ragnarok is the third and final Marvel movie on course to release in 2017 – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming being the first two – and it’ll herald the hotly-anticipated reunion of Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. But if Joss Whedon’s Avengers toyed with the idea of pitting the allies against one another all those years ago, by tapping into Greg Pak’s beloved Planet Hulk comic book, Thor: Ragnarok will take that bubbling rivalry and thrusting it smack bang in the middle of Sakaar’s gladiatorial arena. You’ll even get an early glimpse of that titanic brawl via the gallery above, which includes a BTS shot of a monitor depicting Thor Vs. Hulk round 2 – albeit in pre-CGI form.
Slotting into a similar release window reserved for Doctor Strange in 2016, Thor: Ragnarok is booked in for release on November 3rd. Down below, you’ll find the second installment of Team Thor, the spoof series starring Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder and his painfully average roommate Darryl that is, sadly, not canon.
